We hold in our hands the "Pass of all Passes".
Thank you TRAFALGA for making it so easy for a family to have fun.

The kids had fun learning MINI GOLF!

And taking a ride on the Merry-go-Round

And driving Go Carts

 And Airplane rides

 And Rock Climbing

And fun rides

 And well....

And we ended our day with  the Bumper Boats.

for all of us hard working moms!

No ordinary work done by a man is either as hard or as responsible as the work of a woman who is bringing up a family of small children; for upon her time and strength demands are made not only every hour of the day but often every hour of the night.
- Theodore Roosevelt

This blog is for all of us hard working moms!
For each baby that grew inside of us.
For all of the diapers that we changed.
For all of the late night feedings.
For every meal that was made.
For each cleaning of throw-up.
For all the trips to the Dr. office.
For every shoe that was tied.
For all the games that were played.
For all the songs that were sung.
For every trip to the bathroom.
For every floor that was washed.
For every late night talk.
For every bottom spanked.
For every load of laundry.
For all the miles put on our car.
For all of the after school activities.
For each lesson taught.

FOR ALL OUR HARD WORK!
We are blessed by our children. We are loved by our men.

Proverbs 31:28 Her children rise up and bless her;
Her husband also, and he praises her, saying:
29 “Many daughters have done nobly,
But you excel them all.”
31 Give her the product of her hands,
And let her works praise her in the gates.

Pumpkin Pancakes

YUMMY YUMMY in our TUMMY!

These  Pumpkin Pancakes were so good! Our new favorite!
I found the recipe here.
I decided to make a few changes so that the kids would like them better. Here is what I did....
Added 1/2 cup water to thin the batter.
Doubled the brown sugar to make it taste sweeter.
Used 2 tsp of pumpkin pie spice instead of each spice.
And I added 2 Tbs of milled flax seed just because I try to add it in what ever I am baking.
Hope you all enjoy this great taste of Fall.

A day of Fun with a little Work on the side.

The day was Saturday, 9-17-2001.
The destination was Lagoon, Salt Lake's theme park.
The goal was to have as much fun as possible.
And we were well on our way to meeting that goal. But as we arrived to the parking area of Lagoon we very quickly realized that something was not right with our truck. Stevie was the first to see much smoke billowing out from around the hood. And then the guy in the truck next to us hollered, " Hey guy, your truck is on fire!"
Oh great. Our truck is on fire. I went into panic mode. Looking at Ryan and he gave me a shake of the head and said, " There is not a fire. It would take a lot more then a hot motor to catch diesel fuel on fire. So let's just park the truck, let everything cool down and then see what we have to deal with. "
I love my cool headed man. And I took his lead in staying calm.
We had to give the truck time to cool down, so we headed inside the park to start our day of fun.
We were very thankful that it was AMES company day at Lagoon. And very glad to hook up with Ryan's work partner, Carter, who just happens to be a diesel mechanic. The kids and I headed into KiddieLand to start our day of fun while the guys headed off to to deal with the little work on the side. With a quick trip to the Dodge dealer and a new part in hand, the guys were able to fix the fuel line that had been spraying diesel all over the motor.
We are so thankful for Carters help.
We are so thankful that our truck was not actually on fire.
We are so thankful that we got to have a day of great fun.

Fall Days

Our days are becoming shorter as the sun goes down much earlier.

Yup. Summer is turning into Fall. But that's ok. We love Fall!
Cool nights.
Wearing sweatshirts.
Watching the tree lines to see if they are changing colors.
 And best of all....
Pumpkins! Pumpkins! Pumpkins!

There is a pumpkin field that we pass as we drive in to town.
We see lots of orange in that big ol' field.

I think it is about time to make a pumpkin pie.
We love to eat pie for breakfast. Or pumpkin bread. Or pumpkin pancakes.

Yes, we LOVE Fall.
